DESCRIPTION:Wake Up West Side is "virtually" heading to The Avenues of Ingersoll and Grand for an economic development and project update.  Our special guest will be Kris Maggard\, Executive Director of The Avenues.  She'll tell us the latest on the the current streetscape progress and what's coming next.  Her special guest will be Scott Almeida with Kirkham Michael\, the lead project engineer for the Streetscape.  If you have a business on Ingersoll\, you'll find this time very helpful and informative.\n\nThe Avenues of Ingersoll & Grand is a Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District on the Des Moines West Side.  The Avenues of encompasses the commercial\, neighborhood and arts & culture offerings in the Des Moines district that stretches from 15th Street to 43rd Street\, South of Grand to Waterworks Park and north to I-235. The Avenues district is rich with historic character\, independent businesses\, a vibrant dining scene and family-oriented offerings. The Avenues reflect the esteem of the area\, which includes anchor institutions such as the Des Moines Art Center\, Des Moines University and Terrace Hill\, over 200 businesses and seven neighborhood organizations.
