Hosted by the Iowa State University Ivy College of Business\, the symposium offers a productive day of networking and professional development.\n\n \n\nIowa's premier analytics event\, the Business Analytics Symposium brings together analytics professionals and decision makers from some of the nation's leading insurance\, financial services\, marketing\, and manufacturing companies. This year's symposium features three keynotes from industry leaders:\n\n\n\n"Use Data and Insight to Solve Real Business Problems From Talk to Action"\n\nHelene Kubon Skulstad\, global insurance data and analytics leader\, PwC\n\n\n\n"Embedding Data and Analytics into Today's Business Leadership\," a conversation with:\n\n\n Scott Jean\, president and chief executive officer\, EMC Insurance Companies\n Alex Olson\, EVP for strategy and business development at Kingland\n and Beth Wood\, senior vice president and chief marketing officer\, Principal Financial Group\n\n\n\n\n"Data Analytics in the Law"\n\nJerry Anderson\, dean and Richard M. and Anita Calkins Distinguished Professor\, and\n\nJeremy Kidd\, associate professor of law\, Drake University Law School\n\nBetween keynotes\, enjoy breakout sessions from an impressive lineup of speakers on the cutting edge of analytics. CPE credits from the conference are accepted by the Iowa Accountancy Examining Board. Out-of-state participants should check with their state board of accountancy to determine eligibility.\n\n\n\n\n\nSpecial Offer for Symposium Attendees\n\nSymposium attendees can receive automatic admission*\, an application fee waiver\, and a $1\,000 scholarship to one of three Ivy College of Business master's programs: the master of business analytics\, master of healthcare analytics and operations\, or part-time MBA.\n\nEligible candidates must have a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally-accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.75 and at least one year of work experience in business\, information technology\, or an engineering-related field. The GMAT/GRE is not required.\n\nTo receive an application fee waiver\, contact busgrad@iastate.edu.\n\n* Applications will still require final approval by the Iowa State University Graduate College.
